FAQS

IF I MAKE A DONATION, CAN I DECIDE WHAT MY MONEY IS USED FOR?

As we only have one dedicated project at the moment, then all donations will be supporting this only. If you wish for the donation to be utilised for a specific aspect such as uniforms or child sponsorship, then absolutely and simply let us know

HOW IS VESMA EDUCATION DIFFERENT THAN OTHER CHARITIES?

We are a small charity that started as a community supporting a clear dedicated cause with a unified drive, strong moral beliefs, and a growing network who support us either on occasion or regularly. We are always open to our reasoning and methods of working and are always open to learning and improving our work so that we can provide an equal, fair, and basic necessity of education for children where possible.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU IMPACT WITH YOUR CHARITABLE WORK?

Currently, our project supports over 500 children from the ages of 4 - 16 in around 25 nearby towns and villages of the school. The school is based in Vesma, Gujarat, India.

WHAT IF I WISH TO MAKE A DONATION WITH AN ISLAMIC CATEGORY?

We happily accept donations based on an Islamic category with many of our donations being just this. Our eligible categories are Sadqah, Zakaat, and Lillah with any category donation being utilised in the correct Islamic manner. I.e. Saqah and Zakaat will be used for the orphans as well as poor children with Lillah being used for any maintenance, equipment, or the fabric of the building. Feel free to get in touch to know more.

WHAT IS YOUR DONATION POLICY?

We have a 100% donation policy meaning any direct donations to our charity is utilised directly for our project support causes. We don't utilise any donations for any of our charity administration although we may use some of the gift aid for this in the future if required. We haven't done this to date and still intend not to. You can read more about this on our donation page or feel free to get in touch.

DO YOU ACCEPT CARD PAYMENTS?

To date, we don't. We only accept bank transfers, cheques, or cash. This is because there is a fee with card payments either online or in-person. As we have a strong belief in having a 100% policy donation and covering costs ourselves where possible then it would mean this belief and incoming donations would be less impactful and not worth it's full true value.

CAN I GET A RECEIPT FOR MY DONATION?

Absolutely. We'll ask this for any on-person cash or cheque collection. For any cheque's that are posted or bank transfers, simply get in touch with us and we will provide one to you either electronically or via post

WILL THERE BE AN ANNUAL REPORT I CAN VIEW?

Absolutely again. Our first official charity registration report is due towards the end of 2022 and the school's projects report is usually due around the middle of each year. We hope to post these online on our website where you can download them or simply get in touch.
